Kristin Fisher joined CNN in 2021. The reporter will serve as the Space and Defense Correspondent. As a correspondent, she covers all aspects of space, from NASA and the recently created Space Force, to commercial companies in space and the rise in space travel. Kristin's parents are both NASA astronauts. Kristin spent her childhood in space. She has also been a White House reporter for FOX News, covering both the Biden and Trump administrations on space issues. In that time she covered the 2020 presidential campaign, two impeachment trials and two attempts to prevent the spread of coronavirus and two other administrations' efforts. In addition, she went on trips with President Trump and the Vice President frequently. The trip included a shady visit to Afghanistan. Kristin worked her way through the newsrooms of local markets like Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for over a decade before joining the network. She was awarded an Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as the CBS affiliate's one-man band reporter. Kristin as a skilled filmmaker, founded Field Mouse Films, a business that specialises in documentary-style films for clients such as Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin is a Bachelor in Science in Journalism that she earned at Boston University. The couple's husband and daughter reside in Washington, D.C.
